 At school every year during the month of June, students would take part in the events for our School Sports Day. Many students helped their teams to decorate their team tents.

     This year, my School Sports Day was celebrated on 20th of June.The Sports Day was very eventful than last year. It started at 2.30p.m. with a colourful ceremony. Firstly, the principal declared the opening of the Sports Day .Then there was a march passed by the students in their beautiful attire.

      First of all, the events started with the 100m race.The pistol shot signalled the starting of the race. Some of the events were 400m, 4x100m relay and 4x400 m relay. Many athletes took part in the events.

      Before the prizes were given, a cultural programme was organised. Some students sang patriotic songs while  others recited poems. After that, the prizes were awarded to the winners by the principal.  One of the winners  became the best athlete and the Blue Team was the overall champion.

       Before the Sports Day ended, the principal gave a short speech.Thus, ended the Sports Day at my school.
